What programs do you offer?

Open Arms Christian ECC offers full time care and education, as well as 2, 3 or 4 day per week scheduling.

Are you licensed by the state of Minnesota?

Yes, Open Arms is licensed by the state of Minnesota and that license is renewed every year.

What are your ratios?

The Turtle and Penguin Infant Rooms maintain  a 1 to 4 ratio.
The Alligator and Koala Bear Toddler Rooms maintain a  1 to 7 ratio.
The Monkey, Tiger and Giraffe Preschool Rooms maintain a 1 to 10 ratio.

What is provided by Open Arms?

We provide breakfast and snack for all children over 12 months of age. Open Arms also provides milk for all meals and snacks for children over 12 months of age.

What do I have to provide as a parent?

You supply all meals for your infant under 12 months of age.  Parents of children over the age of one can pay $2.50/day for a hot lunch catered by Pint Size Catering or parents may provide a cold lunch that meets USDA guidelines. You also supply diapers, wipes and 2 complete changes of clothing, as well as any secure items such as pacifiers, blankets, etc.

What certifications do your staff maintain?

All staff are trained in First Aid, CPR, SUIDS (SIDS-Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and Abusive Head Trauma.  All staff are also required to obtain a certain amount of continuing education courses each year to maintain their certifications.

Do parents have to pay for days their child is ill or absent?

Yes, parents are required to pay regular weekly tuition rates for holidays and when the child is absent due to illness. Parents are given 1 week of vacation after 3 months at Open Arms and a second week after 6 months.  Then, parents are given 2 weeks per year after that.

Do you offer any tuition discounts?

Members of Holy Emmanuel Lutheran Church, receive a discount on tuition**, based on current Holy Emmanuel membership requirements.

**Members must attend a minimum of two church services per month to qualify.
