We are a Christian Early Childhood Center operated by Holy Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Bloomington, Minnesota. Open Arms is a state registered non-profit.
Open Arms Christian Early Childhood Center offers families a caring, non-judgmental, supportive environment. Children’s development is enhanced by opportunities that meet the individual needs of the whole child: spiritual, social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative. The lovingly secure, age-appropriate environment is culturally sensitive and encourages children to learn through their play.

Yes, Open Arms is licensed by the state of Minnesota and that license is renewed every year.
The Infant Rooms maintain a 1 to 4 ratio. The Toddler Rooms maintain a 1 to 7 ratio. The Preschool Rooms maintain a 1 to 10 ratio.
We provide breakfast and an afternoon snack for all children over 12 months of age. Open Arms also provides milk for all meals and snacks for children over 12 months of age.
Open Arms is proud to be Parent Aware Rated, offering one of the highest quality programs in the Twin Cities area, while being one of the most affordable. Tuition rates are based on children’s ages and number of days each child attends, please contact Open Arms for specific tuition rates.
You supply all meals for your infant under 12 months of age. Parents of children over the age of one have the option to pay $2.50/day for a hot lunch catered by Pint Size Catering or parents may provide a cold lunch that meets USDA guidelines. Parents are also responsible for supplying diapers, wipes, two complete changes of clothing, and any secure items such as pacifiers, blankets, etc.
All staff are trained in First Aid, CPR, SUIDS (SIDS-Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and Abusive Head Trauma. All staff are also required to complete a certain amount of continuing education courses each year to maintain their certifications.
Yes, parents are required to pay regular weekly tuition rates for holidays and when the child is absent due to illness. Parents are given one week of vacation after three months at Open Arms and a second week after six months. Then, parents are given two weeks per year after that.
Our focus at Open Arms, is to provide the highest quality programs at the most affordable rates. In lieu of a multi-tiered discount program, our business structure provides lower costs for all families.
Members of Holy Emmanuel Lutheran Church receive a ten percent tuition discount.
