Distinctive and Bold

The Creative Curriculum by Diane Trister Dodge provides the framework for our early childhood education. The teachers develop group and individualized lesson plans to provide developmentally appropriate activities that encourage each child’s growth and exploration as they prepare for a lifetime of fun with learning. Creative Curriculum has developed 38 researched based objectives for development and learning that span from birth to third grade.

Faith Based Curriculum and Objectives

Children participate daily in Jesus time to learn about God’s word and love. During this time, children sing worship songs, read Bible stories, discuss and memorize scripture, and pray for their families and friends.
Children attend a weekly worship service in the chapel led by the pastor and staff of Holy Emmanuel.
Each child will be provided with the opportunity every day to see themselves as a child of God, a special creation, unique and unconditionally loved by God.
Children discover Jesus as their best friend and experience living in a loving and forgiving relationship with God and others.
Children develop a life-long curiosity, confidence and high level of comfort in asking questions about the Bible, God, and being a Christian.

Co-Curricular Activities

Dancercise Kids

In Dancercise children learn through singing, dancing, and having the best time ever! We’re excited to share the Dancercise Kids music and curriculum with your child through ballet, tap, and jazz technique, as well as tumbling, sign language, and creative movement. You can look forward to hearing all about the healthy habits, manners, communication skills, and confidence builders we teach in every class. And your child can look forward to half an hour each week that’s set aside for new discoveries and inspiring fun!

Soccer Shots

Soccer is available year round through a program called Soccer Shots. Soccer Shots is a nationally recognized program that offers a high energy, fun and age appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer. In addition to soccer, we work on improving children’s gross motor skills and teaching children important concepts such as teamwork, sharing and respect. Soccer Shots instructors are enthusiastic and passionate about working with kids. Their goal is simple: to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child they serve. This opportunity is for children at Open Arms ages 3-5. Sessions go 9 weeks at a time, with a once weekly 30-minute class.

On Site Summer Camp

Open Arms provides an annual IN-HOUSE SUMMER CAMP program from June through August for all enrolled children. Each week during the summer there are special experiences provided at Open Arms facility through approved outside vendors included but not limited to the following:

Open Arms extends its summer program to children up to the age of 7 years old.
